We have found that some phones have an older version of Google Play Services that causes the messaging service we use to crash when put into the background. If you encounter a CommandWear app crash when putting it into the background, this is the problem. The fix is simple, and requires updating to the latest Google Play Services.
If your google play services are out of date, please open this page on your mobile phone and click here.

Once you press this link, it will take you to the Google Play store to update to the latest Google Play Services.
It will ask you a couple of questions
- Use Google Play.
- Answer yes to all.
Once you are in Google Play you should see a screen similar to this. Click on the update button.
Once it’s installed, open it. You are then done the upgrade.
