Software Developers

We are looking for talented software engineers who are looking to help us build out our mobile and wearable situational awareness platform.  CommandWear is continually innovating and we are a leader in deploying Enterprise wearables into the global public safety market. We are growing and it’s a great time to get involved! Ideally you’re a full stack developer, but we recognize that some people have strong specializations or focus areas, and we’ll make sure we find a good fit for both your talents and interests.

Senior Developer – Ruby on Rails

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to write high quality, well tested code to an existing Ruby on Rails project
  • Understand details and implement features given product requirements
  • A strong focus on the customer
  • Assist in managing infrastructure and operations
  • Clear communicator.  Written and spoken.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in computer science or equivalent knowledge and understanding
  • 5 years of experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Ruby and Ruby on Rails
  • Experience deploying to an environment like AWS
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or ability to quickly learn

 

Senior Developer – JavaScript

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to write high quality, well-tested code to existing Ember and Angular projects
  • Developer features in JavaScript that bridge to native Android and iOS Apps
  • A strong focus on the customer
  • Clear communicator. Written and spoken.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in computer science or equivalent knowledge and understanding
  • 5 years of experience
  • Excellent knowledge of JavaScript and at least one framework
  • Experience deploying to an environment like AWS
  • Experience working with mobile Apps

 

Senior Developer – Android and Android Wear

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to write high quality, well-tested code to existing an existing Android project
  • Build a new Android Wear App from scratch
  • Work with code that bridges to an HTML/CSS UI
  • Secondarily, help maintain iOS project

Qualifications:

  • A degree in computer science or equivalent knowledge and understanding
  • 5 years of experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Java/Android or excellent knowledge of C++/Objective-C with a willingness to learn
  • A strong focus on the customer
  • Clear communicator. Written and spoken.

Enterprise Sales Representative

CommandWear Systems Inc provides situational awareness solutions for first responders that allow them to operate in a safer and more efficient manner while protecting the public. We are moving from pilot stage and now looking to ramp sales in 2016-2017.

CommandWear Systems is looking for an experienced sales professional with experience and deep contacts in the public safety and/or private security market. We are a small startup with disruptive technology and have big ambitions to dominate this industry.   We are looking for someone who can think strategically but still roll-up their sleeves to get the job done.  This is an inside sales position with expectation that you will do some travel to close sales and attend conferences.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the Leadership team to develop comprehensive lead generation strategies to ensure maximum revenue growth.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of CommandWear’s business and take consultative approach to solving customer pains.
  • Directly sell into large government and commercial/industrial accounts in North America.
  • Deliver against individual quota assignments.
  • Follow a comprehensive sales process to ensure that customer expectations are well understood.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and key differentiators in the territory.
  • Utilize an internal CRM (Salesforce) to manage activities, tasks and on-going prospect/client relationships.
  • Work effectively with internal teams to assure quality of proposals and implementation plans.
  • Represent CommandWear with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity.

Experience:

  • 5+ years experience selling into first responder organizations or government agencies in North America.
  • Demonstrated ability to write winning proposals and influence through effective communications.
  • Experience conducting high volume outbound calls and handling inbound sales inquiries (using the Salesforce system).
  • Hands-on knowledge of crisis management or public safety/security systems a plus.
  • Strong understanding of mobile, web and enterprise technologies.
  • Hands-on knowledge of crisis management or public safety/security systems is a plus.
  • Experience selling technology solutions or working in the private security industry is a plus.
